HSUS – What to Do If You See a Pet Left Out in the Cold

The Humane Society of The United States (HSUS) has helpful tips on how to help pets left out in the cold this winter.

One of the most common forms of animal cruelty, cases of animals left outside in dangerous weather are investigated more by police and animal control agencies than any other form of animal abuse.

A quick Google search will show you how often pets are left to freeze to death by negligent owners. And those are just the ones we know of! For example, this poor dog:

Please keep an eye open for pets left outdoors during extreme weather, either hot or cold, and alert the authorities when possible. If we don’t look out for them, no one will!
